The wandering tides of Eden,
Bay to the moon at even,
Asking why,
Their aproned woman's warm glow,
Must go by.
Her braided tears let loose with the tides,
As they ask why.
The wandering tides of Eden,
Wished on a star at even,
Wondering why,
Her wee mirrors in the sky,
lie.
Her broken tears light the shaddow of night,
Which passes by.
The wandering tides of Eden,
Wished for the day to even,
And she sighs,
She hears the prayers to invert the night sky,
But her braided tears sweeped the seeping tides,
Forever set the sun,
Forever her tears let loose, her black hail spun,
Forever to be, Forever young.

The message is basically that someone does hear your cries.

Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis is religious in some aspects, I suppose.
The concept of 'forever' really does intrigue you, doesn't it?
I also like how the poem changes colour. Whenever I read poetry, I always see it in colour. Does that make sense?

you know how i love your poetry lillian, it is incredible. "braided tears," that is so beautiful...
ReplyDeleteyes, someone does hear your cries. i suppose that can be taken religiously...but perhaps sometimes you alone can hear them, and sometimes that's enough...?
Thank You!
ReplyDeleteIt could have religious aspects, but you could take the religious aspects and change it into a philisophical aspect. God, does it intrigue me!! Haha! Forever!! AHHH!!
It does change color as well. Its nice that you said that because this poem actually is supposed to be a painted picture as well.
